SEMANTICS (again)(just little)

As we know, Semantics is one branch of Linguistics.
Semantics is study about meaning . meaning has been given different definition in past.and as we know, every words has a meaning. And every sentences has a word. Its wonder every sentences has a meaning.

Sometimes semantics is called studying meaning words and sentences structure. Semantics can also refer to the branch of study within linguistics that deals with language and how we understand meaning. This has been a particularly interesting field for philosophers as they debate the essence of meaning, how we build meaning, how we share meaning with others, and how meaning changes over time.

Even though you have probably never seen this sentence, you can easily see things like the following:

1.      The sentence is about the abilities of whoever spoke or wrote     it. (Call this person the speaker.)

2.     It's also about a knot, maybe one that the speaker is pointing     at.

3.     The sentence denies that the speaker has a certain ability.         (This is the contribution of the word ‘can't'.)

4.     Untying is a way of making something not tied.

The sentence doesn't mean that the knot has one hand; it has to do with how many hands are used to do the untying

One part of studying a language is knowing the many meanings of individual words. Here are some examples of words with more than one meaning:

With multiple meaning :

1.      A female animal can be a tigress, ewe, hen, doe, mother, daughter or sister

Without meaning :

1.      Chevron gasoline with F-310
